The main characters in Luces are the fair lights at a marginalized suburb of San Luis Potosi in Mexico. The film is comprised of shots of these lights in a multitude of arrangements and colors, while they build the stage for many different kinds of human experiences. The individuals and groups are embraced in their celebration by the brightness and the movement, and lights themselves are revealed and brought forth beyond the documentary aspect of the video by their decomposition into blurry spots dancing on the screen for the spectator by out of focus shots removed from the noise and people.
